Creating a healthy work environment requires a number of elements ranging from inspiration and solid leadership to respectful behaviour and on-going support. Too often, teams get “stuck” in patterns that are not only not helpful but also not healthful. Morale declines and staff “check out”, resulting in frustration for everyone.
Dorothy Garlough’s creative facilitation will help to create an environment where ideas can flourish, where all team members are valued and included. Her workshops will help spark different thinking by arming teams with the discovery cycle – a repeatable process to brainstorm and innovate. Additionally, the team will learn to discern civil behaviour on the civility spectrum to determine if their actions in the workplace are respectful.

Dorothy has practiced yoga personally for over forty years and is a living example of the value of this ancient practice. As an early adopter, she knows of both the physical and mental gains of yoga. In 2009, she obtained her Yoga Exercise Specialist designation and today teaches yoga to others in her weekly class.
Matching movement with breath not only strengthens our bodies but it also trains our minds. In addition, meeting challenges in life from a place of calm will always lead to better results. This focusing of the mind has now been proven scientifically to have health benefits as well, reducing stress and helping to improve multitudes of diseased conditions. Today, yoga is being promoted by such esteemed clinics as the Mayo Clinic and Harvard’s Clinical Research Institute.
